Q: Does A Plate Total Heat Exchanger Cause Cross-contamination Between The Air Streams?

A: No. The total heat exchange core uses heat exchange paper made of specialty fibers through a special process. The gaps between the fibers are extremely small — only small-diameter water vapor molecules can pass through, while larger harmful gases and odor molecules cannot. This achieves both latent and sensible heat transfer while preventing cross-contamination. The sensible heat exchange core uses high-quality hydrophilic aluminum foil (thickness 0.1 mm – 0.2 mm), which conducts heat rapidly without secondary pollution. Epoxy-coated aluminum foil is also available for enhanced corrosion resistance.
